What is a Chakra and what does it Say About you?

What is a Chakra and what does it Say About you?

In today’s blog, we will discuss everything that you have to know about a chakra and  its importance in our lives.

  • What is a Chakra?

Chakra is all about a concept rather than a definite definition. Chakras are not a physical but at the same time they interact and connect with the physical. Chakras are usually represented by color charts to better understand the functioning of human thoughts and emotions. Chakras are not emotional or mental but just like the physical aspect; they interact with each of these realms.

  • Chakras in Harmony:

All these chakras work in harmony together to build an ascending level of consciousness in a person, if these chakras are not in any form harmony then it means there are some hurdles in a way of your healing and positive thoughts.

  • What is wrong with our Chakras?

If there is disharmony in the Chakras then it means that there are certain hurdles in the way of your healing process and thought process.

The best way to determine what these blockages are is to study what our emotions and thoughts are most of the times. Our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspect makes up our whole personality. So to evaluate the reason for disharmony in chakras is to look for any dysfunctions or ailments that you manifest in any emotional, physical or mental form.

  • Seven Chakras:

Most people pay more focus to seven chakras that run vertically up our body, but in reality there are far more chakras around 1000.  These chakras are smaller and precisely tunes as compared to seven more prominent chakras. As discussed before, our chakras represent our emotions, thoughts and feelings: they can be open or closed, spinning fast or slow.

  • Chakras Frequency:

The chakras running up in our body are represented by a set of frequencies and each frequency depicts each different Chakra. There are different things that vibrate to their corresponding chakra such as: colors, foods, gemstones, essence, foods, sounds and attitudes. For better understanding, let us take an example:

  • 5th Chakra:

The 5th or throat chakra vibrates at 384Hz: since that the 5th chakra deals with things related to truth, so anything that resonates with this frequency will have an effect on this area and influence our personal truth.

  • Balance the Chakras:

The best way to balance and harmonize your chakra and its frequency is through meditation. You can affect the chakra by focusing on the sounds or mantra that vibrates at the same frequency as the chakra frequency.

  • Seven Chakras:

First Chakra:

Location: base of the spine

Association: food, shelter, tribal groups and safety

Second Chakra:

Location: below navel

Association: creativity, emotional, money, passion and desires

Third Chakra:

Location: solar plexus

Association: self-esteem, self-worth, personal power and responsibility

Fourth Chakra:

Location: center of the chest

Association: unconditional love, receiving and giving love

Fifth Chakra:

Location: middle of the throat

Association: faith, speaking and communication

Sixth Chakra:

Location: center of the head in line with the brows

The Importance of Nutrition and Health – A Student’s Guide

17536653_s

Keeping up with a healthy routine and lifestyle is difficult because of the commitments college comes with; quizzes, assignments, projects and of course, keeping your attendance in check. However, even this can be managed and balanced into a better lifestyle so you stay healthy and fit, both physically and mentally.

Here are some things you need to take care of along with your studies:

Nutrition and Eating the Right Food

College students usually have a limited budget on one hand and on the other, a 24/7 access to fast food and quick snacks. This is where the challenge of decision arises. The best thing a student can do in order to overcome this, is to learn how to cook. It’s not as difficult as it may seem and it will definitely be worth it! If you have a nutritional diet plan spread throughout the week, you will be much less likely to opt for the unhealthy food available on campus. Make sure you keep some healthy snacks with you all the time in order to avoid buying any unhealthy snacks. Regularly munch on fresh fruits and vegetables and nuts to keep yourself from getting hungry in between meals. They provide you a lot of energy which will help get you all the energy you need for all those study sessions.

Exercising Regularly

The importance of a regular and proper exercise routine cannot be stressed on enough. It helps keep your mind sharp and maintain a healthy functioning body. And adjusting exercise in your normal routine may seem impossible. But you don’t need to do all the exercise at once. In fact, cycling or walking to and from class is also a good option for exercise if the distance is appropriate. Apart from this, all you need to adjust is 30 minutes of a cardio every week. Then, you can add a 10 minute jumping jack session before heading off to class and get your day started with proper circulation to remain more active. Most schools and colleges also have a state of the art gym where students can go to stay fit. Utilize their investment and recharge your body with an hour at the gym.

Start a “Healthy Food” campaign

Enlighten fellow students on the importance of having a healthy lifestyle and diet. Gather together some students and ask school authorities to start providing healthy food to students on campus. When enough students realize the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the cafeteria will be left with no other choice than meeting that demand by providing students with a healthier menu.

College students need to avoid smoking, drugs and alcohol use as much as possible to accompany this lifestyle and make it truly beneficial for their health. And the only way you can encourage yourself to do this is by sticking with friends that share similar thoughts. Even if you are not involved in such activities, and your friends are, you might become victim to peer pressure and give in. Make sure that you are with the proper company and maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout your college life.

We hope this blog post has helped open your eyes a little!! Here is our quote of the day!

Well the answer is, because you really get to take out the stresses of your daily life when are solely focusing on your yoga routine. You begin to forget about work, forget about the stressful situation you had earlier in the day, and you really start to focus on the NOW. This is beneficial because we never seem to let our brains take a break. We are constantly thinking about something throughout the day that can put more stress and anxiety on us. This is more powerful than anything, and when you begin to let your brain relax, and lose yourself, stress will ultimately go away with it.

Now we don’t want to bore you with ongoing text on why you should take on yoga, so we area going to leave you with this! Go try it, find a friend who currently practices the art of yoga and ask them if you could join, they will definitely say yeah :). If you don’t have a friend who does yoga, then Google some basic poses and techniques and begin to practice on your own time. Now remember, you don’t have to be perfect! It will take time to perfect, but the best thing about it is that you will be having a good time!

Now here is our quote of the day that we will leave you with!

“Why they always look so serious in Yoga? You make serious face like this, you scare away good energy. To meditate, only you must smile. Smile with face, smile with mind, and good energy will come to you and clean away dirty energy. Even smile in your liver. Practice tonight at hotel. Not to hurry, not to try too hard. Too serious, you make you sick. You can calling the good energy with a smile.

One way to create that holistic balance in life is making sure your chakra’s are aligned. Lets get into this and discuss your 7 major Chakra’s and how to balance them.

This first chakra we will discuss is the base root (Vam). This chakra is located at the base of your spine, and is associated with your adrenal glands. The color associated with this chakra is red.  This chakra relates to earthly issues, the physical body and financial matters. Secondly, is your sacral chakra (Lam). It’s related to emotions, desires and creativity. This chakra also relates to sex drive. The color associated with this chakra is orange.

The third chakra is Solar Plexus Chakra (Ram). This chakra deals with your inner confidence and self esteem. Yellow is the color associated with the solar plexus chakra. Your next chakra is your heart chakra (Yam), it represents compassion, love and joy. This chakra is your center chakra and it’s your connection to mind, body and spirit. The color associated with your heart chakra is green.

The color associated with your throat chakra is blue. The sixth chakra is the third eye chakra (Om), this chakra deals with clairvoyance. The color associated with this chakra is purple. The final of the seven major chakra’s is your crown chakra. his is your link to your higher self. It’s your connection to your spiritual wisdom.
